Vyom – HR Meet & Greet
Vyom – HR Meet & Greet, themed ‘A Legacy of Leadership, A Vision for Tomorrow,’ was held on 22nd August 2025 by Indira University in association with Gryphon Academy, at The Ritz Carlton, Pune. The event brought together industry stalwarts to inspire the next generation of leaders.
Dr. Shikha Sindhu, Controller of Examinations and Dean of IQAC at Indira University, set the tone of the evening with the iconic story of Sourav Ganguly at Lord’s balcony- a symbol of fearless leadership and lasting legacy. Cultural performances added a vibrant touch to the evening. The devotional dance by Indira’s students showcased immense talent and highlighted the institution’s cultural richness.
Dr. Tarita Shankar, President Designate of Indira University & Chairperson and Chief Mentor of the Indira Group of Institutes, delivered a profound and heartfelt speech. Her address illuminated the journey of nurturing educational excellence from its roots, laying the foundation for what Indira University stands for today. She expressed sincere gratitude to all partners for their unwavering support in students’ placements.
The evening witnessed the presentation of the Vyom Ratna Awards, celebrating distinguished leaders for their outstanding contributions. The awardees included Mr. Amol Joshi (Emerson), Mr. Edmund D’Silva (Force Motors Ltd.), Mr. Kaushik K (Pattern), Mr. Udit Sharma (Crisil), Mr. Abhijeet Pawar (Britannia Industries Ltd.), Mr. Dilip Choudhary (Syngenta), and more.
A highlight of the evening was the “Cocktail with Chatty” session, hosted by Prof. Chetan Wakalkar, IGI’s Academic Advisor, delving into AI and its future. Ms. Madhuri Sathe, Advisor & Executive Director- Corporate Relations, IU & IGI, talked about Indira’s placement legacy, achievements, and reinforcing the institution’s enduring legacy.
The event also marked the launch of Yugantar – the placement brochure, underscoring the institution’s commitment to student career success. The closing note was delivered by Mr. Shashi Bhat, Founder of Gryphon Academy. He emphasized that Indira’s students will embody the skills and attitudes most valued by corporates. A live poll was also conducted to identify the key skills employers prioritize, ensuring that these insights can be channelled back into student development at Indira.
The event concluded with a mesmerizing live performance by Mr. Vivek Singh Baghel, which enthralled the audience and left a lasting impression. This inaugural edition of Vyom, rooted in Indira’s rich legacy of leadership, casted a compelling vision for the change-makers of tomorrow.
