From July 21 to July 30, the SOLA Induction- SOLAverse, begin your learning journey with purpose, passion, and possibilities, welcomed new students into a universe of purpose, passion, and possibilities. The event opened with a vibrant student musical performance that lit up the hall and stirred anticipation. Prof. Renu Garg, Dean – SOLA, gave a heartfelt address, inviting everyone to embrace this journey not merely as an academic beginning but as a meaningful exploration of personal growth and shared aspirations.
A captivating audio-visual presentation then brought life at SOLA to vivid reality, weaving scenes of collaborative classrooms, spirited events, and reflective moments on campus. Faculty members were introduced through engaging PPTs and videos, each emerging as more than just instructors – as mentors animated by stories, dedication, and individual warmth.
Dr. Punam Kavade, Faculty at SOLA, then gracefully guided newcomers through the campus’s rules and regulations, laying the foundation for a respectful and supportive learning environment. Associate Dean of SOB – BBA, Dr. Thomson Varghese, addressed the students in an insightful session. The Director of NEP Implementation – Dr. Punam Bhoyar also welcomed the newcomers with the national educational vision.
In a stirring highlight, Prof. Renu Garg, the Dean of SOLA, encouraged students to boldly express, create, perform, and own their space, asking everyone to “act up” and take charge of their own journey. She emphasized that true empowerment lies in embracing one’s unique voice and stepping into leadership roles with confidence and purpose.
Dr. Dipanjay Bhelrao, Director of the Incubation Centre & Startup Mentor at Swakiyam—Centre for Incubation & Innovation, inspired students to pursue entrepreneurship, gave valuable insights into the startup ecosystem, and emphasized the importance of innovation, resilience, and adaptability in the entrepreneurial journey.
Dr. Dnyaneshwar Shirode, Author of the Book – Teaching English Tenses through ICT and Head & Associate Professor of English, took a session and infused a love for creative learning in the students. He inspired students to embrace technology as a tool for enhancing language skills. Ms. Tejashree Gugale, Actor and Wellness Coach, took a session where she established the importance of creating a balance of mind, body, and expression. Through her guidance, attendees experienced a renewed sense of vitality, confidence, and a deeper connection to their bodies and minds.
Mr. Manish Dalmia, Chief Marketing Officer at Indira University, delivered an insightful session on personal branding, emphasizing its pivotal role in career advancement. He highlighted the significance of building a compelling personal brand and provided attendees with actionable strategies to distinguish themselves in the competitive professional landscape.
Dr. Shikha Sindhu, Controller of Examinations and Dean of IQAC at IU, closed with a guiding overview of the academic structure and quality assurance that underpins the journey ahead.
In these nine days, SOLAverse didn’t just orient students—it sparked connections, invoked excitement, and set the stage for a transformative academic journey filled with shared purpose and boundless possibility.
