Inspiring Guest Talks: From Power of Presence and Presentation to Environmental Policy
On 14th October 2025, the School of Liberal Arts at Indira University organized two insightful guest lectures that inspired and engaged students. The first session, titled βThe Power of Presence and Presentation,β was conducted by Ms. Pratima Chavan. She talked about the importance of communication in personality development. She began the lecture by highlighting the significance of soft skills in achieving both academic and professional success.
Ms. Chavan explained that effective communication, both verbal and non-verbal, is a key to making lasting impressions. She elaborated on how body language, personal etiquette, grooming, and confidence collectively shape oneβs professional presence. Through real-life examples and interactive discussions, she encouraged students to refine their communication style and carry themselves with poise. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A round, where students eagerly shared their thoughts and sought guidance on improving their presentation skills.
The second lecture, on βEnvironmental Policy: Reshaping Life & Politics,β was delivered by Mr. Anish Tore, who brought valuable insights into pressing environmental issues and the role of policy in addressing them. He emphasized the importance of sustainable development and explained how government initiatives and environmental policies at both national and global levels are shaping the future. Mr. Toreβs session raised awareness about the collective responsibility of individuals and policymakers in creating a greener, more sustainable world.
Both lectures offered students a platform to learn, reflect, and engage with thought leaders. The day ended with a sense of inspiration, as students left the hall motivated to enhance their personal growth and contribute meaningfully to society and the planet.
